Ms. Torres has over 18 years of experience as a Certified Phlebotomist and has over 3 years of teaching experience. The phlebotomy field has several areas of specialization and having worked in so many different areas in the phlebotomy field, she brings this love to the classroom. She has worked in hospitals, laboratories, mobile phlebotomy, therapeutic phlebotomy, lead testing, paramedical phlebotomy as well as working with the county and sheriff’s department.
As Ms. Torres often says, “When you love what you do, it’s not work! My passion for helping people at a time when they are not feeling their best has opened many doors for me and has allowed me the opportunity to make a difference in patients’ lives”. She is committed to guiding her students that also have a passion in helping others. This doesn’t stop with her students that she teaches but helps our medical community and the families of her graduates.
